Zoya Hussain started off her journey as a writer, but stumbled upon acting when approached for a role in Mukkabaaz (2017). She delivered a feisty performance, earning her Best actress award at the Jagran Film festival and Best Debut award – Female at the Zee Cine awards. She again caught the attention of the audience when she played the role of SP Amrita Singh in the OTT web series Grahan (2021) in a brilliant fashion. She carved her way in the OTT and feature film space by starring in Ankahin Kahaaniyan, Haathi mere Saathi and Laal Kaptaan. Hussain also gained great traction after appearing in viral indie-music videos such as “Cold/Mess” by Prateek Kuhad and “Break Free” by When Chai Met Toast.
