Consolidating her position as one of the most promising young actors of her generation, Janhvi received unanimous praise for her performance in her debut film Dhadak (2018), then once again drew raves for her turn as a caregiver to a bed-ridden senior in Zoya Akhtar’s short film in the Ghost Stories (2019) anthology for Netflix. In Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl(2020) she flexed her acting chops again, imbuing her character with depth and grit.
She will next star opposite Varun Dhawan in Dangal director Nitish Tiwari’s Bawaal, and will reunite with her Gunjan director Sharan Sharma for the cricket-themed drama Mr&Mrs Mahi opposite Rajkummar Rao.
